Richard Stewart, DMD
Dr. Richard Stewart graduated in 1992 from Southern Illinois University-School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Stewart had been practicing General Dentistry in Elburn, Illinois since 1995. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, and the Fox River Valley Dental Society.
Continuing education is of the utmost importance to Dr. Stewart. He is one of only 250 dentists to reach graduate status from the Kois Center for Advancing Dentistry Through Science. Dr. Stewart has also taken numerous continuing education courses on dental implants in order to be able to provide comprehensive dental care to patients with missing teeth. Dr. Richard Stewart practices tooth-conserving dentistry, where he tries to minimize his patient's risk of more invasive dentistry.
Since 1993, Dr. Stewart has worked on Fridays at the Jack Mabley Developmental Center with developmentally handicapped adults. He has staff priviledges at Katherine-Shaw-Bethea Hospital in Dixon, Illinois.
